Welcome to Harmondsworth is a short film about a picturesque English village in suburban south-west London that's home both to the oldest largest extant timber structure in the UK - a medieval barn managed by English Heritage - and Europe's largest detention centre, Harmondsworth IRC.

By interweaving the journeys of an ex-detainee’s life in England and a tour group’s trip around the village, the film reports on the injustice of immigration detention and examines where it stands in relation to broader cultural attitudes towards history, nationhood, and belonging.
