Mount Aureol

Documentary short

Fourah Bay College is Sierra Leone's most prestigious university, situated on Mount Aureol and overlooking the national capital, Freetown.

The university, like the country at large, is still recovering from the devastating civil war of the 1990s.

Mount Aureol explores the bitter and sometimes violent political divide that has taken hold amongst the current generation of students, all of whom grew up during the war, and the role of national politicians down in Freetown in fomenting this rivalry. These students are held up as the country's future: but what kind of future will it be?
